🧊The Ice Cube Analogy

Picture an ice cube in a room that is gradually heating from -3°C to 0°C. The ice cube remains frozen. But once it reaches 1°C, the ice begins to melt. Change isn’t always noticeable at first, but when you reach a tipping point, things suddenly shift.

🦴 My Back Went From Putting My Sock On!

You might feel like your body “suddenly” gave out on you, but often, the tension or weakness has been building for months.

Just like the ice cube… your muscles and tendons reach a breaking point after long periods of inaction or stress. 💡

Over time, small habits of neglect—poor posture, skipped stretches, too much tension, start to accumulate.

THEN one day, a small action causes a major injury, seemingly out of nowhere.

This is exactly how muscle or tendon injuries develop.

🧘‍♂️Take a Moment to Reflect, Ask Yourself:

  • Are you moving regularly 🚶‍♀️, or staying in one position too long?

  • Is tension building up in your muscles without being released?

  • Are you thinking about your health at least once a day?

  • Are you improving flexibility 🧘‍♂️ and strength, or letting them slowly diminish?

🌱 Take-Home Tips to Build Your Strength and Mobility

Here’s how you can start small to prevent injury and strengthen your body over time:

  1. Start Small: Commit to just 2 minutes ⏳ of stretching or movement each day.

  2. Focus on Consistency, Not Intensity: It’s not about how hard you push yourself one day; it’s about showing up every day.

  3. Track Your Progress: Keep a simple log 📝 of your daily movement, stretches, or mobility work, even just take a photo!

  4. Reduce Tension Throughout the Day: Check in with your body at regular intervals ⏰. Are your shoulders tight? Is your back tense?

⚖️ Are You Building or Breaking?

Think about each day as an opportunity to either strengthen 💪 your body or let it weaken.

Those small habits—whether it's a few minutes of stretching or a walk—are like turning up the temperature by a degree 🌡.

Over time, these habits compound and lead to powerful results.

It’s easy to overlook the small things, but those are the things that truly build (or break) us over time.
